Service to be axed

The map on the right shows the route of the Monday - Saturday daytime off peak route that Southern will withdraw in the December timetable.
Other trains will still cover the stations so there will be no stations without any trains.
But it will mean the following:

Service between Tulse Hill and London Bridge reduced from 6 trains per hour to 4 per hour

Service from Gipsy Hill and West Norwood to anywhere between Tulse Hill and London Bridge reduced by 50%

No direct service from Tulse Hill,
West Norwood or Gipsy Hill to East Croydon.

Greater difficulty in getting from Tulse Hill to Gatwick. This will mean either a longer and more expensive route through London Bridge or changing twice.

Greater diffculty in getting from West Norwood and Gipsy Hill to Gatwick. This will mean changing at Norwood Junction, which has fewer onward connecting trains, instead of East Croydon.
